Product Description:
316 stainless steel coil/strip is a popular stainless steel
material that belongs to the austenitic stainless steel family. It
is widely used in various industries because of its excellent
corrosion resistance, high strength and versatility. Here are some
of the key differences and improvements in 316 stainless steel:
Composition: 316 stainless steel coil/strip contains approximately
16-18% chromium, 10-14% nickel, 2-3% molybdenum, and a small amount
of manganese, silicon, carbon and other elements. The addition of
molybdenum enhances the material's resistance to corrosion and
pitting, making it more suitable for chloride-rich environments
than other stainless steel grades.
Features:
Corrosion Resistance: One of the main advantages of 316 stainless
steel coil/strip is its excellent corrosion resistance. It has
excellent resistance to a variety of corrosive environments,
including seawater, acidic and alkaline solutions, and industrial
chemicals. This makes it suitable for applications in marine
environments, chemical processing plants and coastal structures.
Resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion: The presence of
molybdenum in 316 stainless steel coils/strips improves its
resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. Pitting corrosion
occurs in localized holes or pits on the metal surface, while
crevice corrosion occurs in confined spaces such as gaps or
crevices. 316 stainless steel is resistant to these types of
corrosion, making it ideal for applications that are frequently
exposed to corrosive liquids or environments.
High temperature strength: 316 stainless steel coils/strips exhibit
good strength and mechanical properties at high temperatures. It
maintains its structural integrity and strength even under high
temperature conditions. This makes it suitable for applications
such as heat exchangers, furnace components and exhaust systems.
Weldability: 316 stainless steel coils/strips have excellent
weldability and can be easily welded using common welding
techniques. It can be welded using a variety of processes,
including gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW or TIG), gas metal arc
welding (GMAW or MIG), and stick arc welding (SMAW or stick
welding). This makes it easier to fabricate and assemble components

Surface treatment:
No.1
Polished with #100-#200 abrasive belt, it has good brightness and
discontinuous rough lines. It can be used as interior and exterior
decoration parts for buildings, electrical appliances, kitchen
utensils, etc.
2B
The surface brightness and smoothness of no2B is better than that
of no2D. Through special surface treatment to improve its
mechanical properties, No2B can almost meet the comprehensive
purpose.
BA
Cold rolled, bright annealed, smoothed, the products have excellent
brightness and good reflectivity, such as mirrors, kitchen
utensils, decorations, etc.
No 4
Use #150-#180 abrasive belt for polishing. It has better brightness
and discontinuous rough lines, but is finer than No.3. It is used
for bathtubs, interior and exterior decorations of buildings,
electrical appliances, kitchen utensils, food processing equipment,
etc.
HL
The No. 4 topcoat is polished with #150-#320 abrasive belt and has
continuous stripes. It is mainly used for architectural decoration
elevators, building doors, door panels, etc.

This product has excellent brightness and good reflectivity and can
be used as a mirror
