Product Description:
Duplex stainless steel hollow bar is a type of stainless steel that
combines many excellent properties such as excellent corrosion
resistance, high strength and ease of manufacturing and processing.
The physical properties of duplex stainless steel hollow bars are
between austenitic stainless steel and ferritic stainless steel,
but closer to ferritic stainless steel and carbon steel.
The resistance to chloride pitting and crevice corrosion of duplex
stainless steel hollow bars is related to its chromium, molybdenum,
tungsten and nitrogen content, which can be similar to 316
stainless steel or higher than seawater stainless steel such as 6%
Mo austenitic stainless steel.
The ability of duplex stainless steel hollow bars to resist
chloride stress corrosion fracture is significantly stronger than
that of 300 series austenitic stainless steel, and its strength is
also much higher than austenitic stainless steel, while showing
good plasticity and toughness.
Duplex steel hollow bars and super duplex steel hollow bars are the
most widely used chromium-nickel stainless steel pipes, with good
corrosion resistance, heat resistance, low temperature strength and
mechanical properties

high strength:
The strength of duplex stainless steel hollow bars is approximately
2 times the strength of conventional austenitic stainless steel or
ferritic stainless steel.
Good toughness and ductility:
Duplex stainless steel hollow bars have good plasticity and
toughness. The toughness and ductility of duplex stainless steel
hollow bars are significantly better than ferritic stainless steel
and carbon steel. They still maintain good plasticity even at very
low temperatures such as -40℃/F. toughness.
Corrosion resistance
Duplex stainless steel hollow bar has high corrosion resistance and
can withstand corrosion from medium reducing acid media
Duplex stainless steel hollow bars have very good resistance to
stress corrosion cracking (SCC)
Physical properties
Between austenitic stainless steel and ferritic stainless steel,
but closer to ferritic stainless steel and carbon steel.
