Product Description
Stainless steel channel steel can be used to form various
components with different loads according to different structural
needs, and can also be used as connectors between components. It is
widely used in various building structures and engineering
structures, such as beams, bridges, transmission towers, lifting
and transportation machinery, ships, industrial furnaces, reaction
towers, container racks and warehouse shelves. Stainless steel
channel steel is a long steel strip with a groove-shaped cross
section.
ASTM 201 stainless steel channel
Composition characteristics:
201 stainless steel belongs to the chromium-manganese-nitrogen
stainless steel series (200 series), which is developed on the
basis of chromium-nickel austenitic stainless steel, with manganese
and (or) nitrogen replacing part of the nickel element. Its nickel
content is low, generally around 1% - 4%, and it also contains a
high manganese element.
Performance characteristics:
It has certain acid and alkali resistance, high density, no bubbles
and pinholes after polishing; compared with 300 series stainless
steel, it has relatively high strength, but relatively poor
corrosion resistance.
Application scenarios:
Due to its relatively low price, it is often used in occasions that
do not require high corrosion resistance but require a certain
strength, such as architectural decoration, industrial pipelines,
and some shallow drawing products.
ASTM 202 stainless steel channel steel
Composition characteristics:
It is also a type of 200 series stainless steel. The nickel content
is slightly higher than 201, generally 4% - 6%, the manganese
content is also higher, and the chromium content is about 17% -
19%.
Performance characteristics:
In a weakly corrosive environment, the corrosion resistance is
slightly better than 201 stainless steel, but still not as good as
300 series stainless steel; it has good toughness and
machinability.
Application scenarios:
Widely used in architectural decoration, such as municipal
engineering, highway guardrails, hotel facilities, shopping malls,
glass handrails, public facilities and other places
ASTM 304 stainless steel channel
Composition characteristics:
It is a typical representative of chromium-nickel stainless steel
(300 series), containing 18% - 20% chromium, 8% - 10.5% nickel, and
a small amount of carbon, silicon, manganese and other elements.
Performance characteristics:
It has good corrosion resistance, formability and weldability, and
can maintain good stability in oxidizing and neutral environments;
it has high toughness and strength, and good processing
performance.
Application scenarios:
It is one of the most widely used stainless steels, suitable for
occasions with high requirements for comprehensive material
performance, such as food production equipment, medical equipment,
building materials, chemicals, ship parts, auto parts, household
goods (tableware, cabinets, indoor pipelines, water heaters,
bathtubs, etc.), agriculture and other fields.
ASTM 316 stainless steel channel
Composition characteristics:
It is a special type of 300 series stainless steel. It adds 2% - 3%
molybdenum to 304 stainless steel and has a high nickel content,
which further enhances its corrosion resistance.
Performance characteristics:
It has excellent resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion and
chloride stress corrosion, and performs well in highly corrosive
environments such as marine environments and chemical industries;
at the same time, its strength and toughness are also good.
Application scenarios:
It is often used in marine-related industrial products, chemical
equipment, pharmaceutical equipment, medical equipment and other
fields with extremely high corrosion resistance requirements.
